Windows Administrative Shares

Hereby an important tip regarding the Windows Administrative Shares:

The Manager of Easy Software Deployment is quite dependent on the administrative share (Admin $) on the remote computer. This has to do with the execution of external assignments. So make sure you have full access to this share to control this computer remotely. See also Firewall settings for information.

Do not use the $ share on your local computer as a way to share applications (for example the local C or D drive of your computer). We advise you to use the application share for this. If you cannot use or create a public share, make sure that the $ share is available to everyone and to all computers on your network.

If you take care of that, Windows Administrative Shares will do fine.
